Sanguma - Islands of Fear, a feature film currently in production, aims to bring the shocking truth about sorcery accusation related violence in Papua New Guinea to the world. 

The film follows Everlyn Kunda, a local human rights defender, as she rescues women and men who have fallen victim to sorcery accusation and gender-based violence. It is estimated as many as 200 people die each year, and dozens more are left badly injured.

When the production team behind the movie approached Ocular, we didn't think twice about sponsoring. We designed the movie's branding and website, and advised them with their marketing strategy. 

The impact goals of the movie are to raise awareness about sorcery accusation related violence in the Pacific, and to get people to donate money so Everlyn can continue her work. She needs her own land and a permanent house to support, rehabilitate, and counsel the victims of violence.
