FishServe Innovations New Zealand (FINNZ) provide technology solutions to protect and manage the environment.

FINNZ engaged Ocular to create a new brand for their latest product, Deckhand NZ, an electronic catch reporting and global positioning solution to support fishers and meet MPI’s new Digital Monitoring requirements.

The brief: to create a brand to stand out from competitors and position the product at the premium end of the market. The look and feel needed to appeal to savy fishers who can see the benefits of gathering accurate data of their operations using Deckhand’s proprietary software application and solar-powered satellite VMS device.

Ocular undertook a lean brand strategy exercise with FINNZ management to create a look and feel within tight budgets and deadlines to appeal to fishers and business owners who want to embrace the future of fishing.
