The proposed Master of Creative Practices (MCP) from Toi Whakaari is an intensive 18 month full-time or 36 month part-time programme focused on creative exploration within a collaborative practice-as-research framework. This is a practical degree designed to develop your leadership skills with a mentored creative project to challenge and expand your collaborative and creative skills.

DURATION: 18 months full time or maximum of 36 months part-time

CREDITS: 180 at Level 8&9


  • A Bachelor’s degree in the creative or performing arts
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated discipline with a minimum of two years’ appropriate work experience and the demonstrated ability to likely succeed in the programme (referees and evidence of outcomes in the discipline work environment)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English
